Lung Cancer Initiative is partnering with the Patient Empowerment Network to connect survivors to the digital sherpa™ program. This program is designed to help cancer patients and their families become more tech-savvy and feel confident in utilizing technology in their healthcare. The digital sherpa™ program meets each participant where they are, and provides individualized technology support based on their current technology knowledge.
Topics that will be covered in this program could include basic internet usage, setting up email or social media, understanding MyChart or other formats of digital health portals, and more. Some participants will have very little experience while others are already tech-savvy and come to the workshop wanting to learn a specific skill. Ultimately, the goal is to empower patients, caregivers, and their loved ones to become more knowledgeable and proactive in managing their disease.
Participants will need to complete an online training module before the live program. We will send you more information about how to access this after registering. In the live event, we will pair each participant with a volunteer who will work 1:1 with you to dive into whatever area you are interested in learning about! We hope to see you there.
