Gwen Strong, Why We Run

Gwen Orilio Shares Her Story of Being a 31-year-old Lung Cancer Survivor. 

On January 2nd, 2015, I got the life changing diagnosis of lung cancer. Being a 31 year old who has never smoked and a mother of a 1.5 year old, I was quite shocked, as were my family and friends. In March it was confirmed that I have the ROS-1 mutation. My team, Gwen Strong, is made up of my support team. It includes my coworkers at Cleveland high school, my husband's coworkers at Cleveland middle school, my friends, and of course, my loving family. I couldn't ask for a better team to support me!
