LCI Announces Patient Emergency Fund

We have reached the maximum amount of applications available for this grant

Lung Cancer Initiative is committed to supporting the lung cancer community during this critical time when barriers to care and treatment are larger than ever. In an effort to support lung cancer patients who have been financially impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, Lung Cancer Initiative is establishing the Patient Emergency Fund. Through this fund, LCI hopes to help lung cancer patients stay healthy and to meet their basic needs throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through the Patient Emergency Fund, lung cancer patients will be able to apply for a stipend of $250 to help with healthy food costs, transportation, and other non-medical expenses. Patients will complete a two-page application that includes a signature from their healthcare provider (which you can download below). The healthcare provider signature ensures the lung cancer patient is actively receiving treatment.

To apply for our Patient Emergency Fund, download and print the application here. Please have your healthcare provider sign the document too, then email your application to our Engagement Coordinator Colleen Christensen at CChristensen@LungCancerInitiativeNC.org
