In only three weeks we will unite communities across North Carolina at this year's The Evening of Hope Gala on Saturday, November 6. This year's gala is sure to be a showstopper as we come together to "Put Hope Center Stage" at North Ridge Country Club to advance lung cancer survivorship.
Guests at the gala will enjoy dinner and drinks, listen to live music performed by That Nation Band, and have the opportunity to bid on unique auction items at the live and silent auctions (you do not need to be present to win an item). As a guest, you will be able to enjoy all of the glitz and glamor of the gala while knowing that every bid you place helps us fuel lung cancer research, increase access to care, and expand community education programs.

If you'd like to go above and beyond in supporting the gala, please consider donating an item to our silent and live auctions. Whether you're an individual who purchases and donates an item, or if you're a business owner you can donate a product or service like Jim Sheegog, who's donated a one-of-a-kind experience with Shamrock Sailing.
Jim Sheegog is Lung Cancer Initiative's vice president, a position he took on after being approved by the Board of Directors and serving on the board since 2017. Jim is also the president and founder of Rowhill Consulting Group. In 28 years of consulting work, Jim has advised world-class corporations, including IBM, Ford Motor Company, Morgan Crucible plc, Pfizer, and other leading medical practices.
Win a Trip with Shamrock Sailing Adventures!
When Jim isn't helping organizations build stronger teams or advocating on behalf of lung cancer patients, Jim can often be found sailing along the coast of Wilmington, NC. In fact, Jim is such an avid sailor that he's decided to donate a trip with Shamrock Sailing Adventures for the Live Auction!
Build Your Own Itinerary - With so many places to explore, Captain Jim works with you to customize your experience. With over 30 years of coastal cruising experience, the captain will share his knowledge of the local sea conditions and coastal ecology. You build a custom tailored 3.5 hour experience based on your sailing skills and experience. This charter includes a USCG Licensed Captain. Typically, private charter adventures might include offshore sailing, Intracoastal Waterway transits, or relaxing in secluded anchorages. Bring up to six guests on this cruise!
Seating at this year's event is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with lung cancer survivors being prioritized. If you haven't purchased your tickets (or table), click here. If you'd like to purchase raffle tickets, click here. For all safety information, click here.
If you have an auction item that you'd like to donate or know of a business that we should reach out to, please send their information to LCI's Director of Special Events Sandy Oehler at SOehler@LUngCancerInitiativeNC.org
