Recipients of the 2017 Access Grants

Cancer Services IncNovant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation

Charlotte, North Carolina

Recipient: Randy Brantley

Program Title: Lung Cancer Screening and Education Program

“Thanks to Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina's support, more Mecklenburg County underserved residents will have access to the latest cutting-edge screenings to detect lung cancer with no out-of-pocket costs,” says Novant Health Cancer Prevention, Education and Early Detection Manager Maria Kuklinski-Long. "Lack of insurance coverage discourages many individuals from seeking preventive care, including cancer screenings. By offering screenings funded by Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina to qualified individuals, our staff can address one of the most significant barriers for individuals who delay screenings, which we trust will lead to earlier diagnosis of lung cancer."

Recipient: Linda Schumacher

Program Title: Randolph Health Lung Cancer Screening Fund

“Randolph Health is proud to partner with Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina to bring low dose lung CT screenings to uninsured and underinsured individuals in our service area.
