Paige Humble Joins Lung Cancer Initiative as Executive Director

February 1, 2017 (Raleigh, NC) - Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina (LCINC), the state’s leading non-profit organization supporting lung cancer research and education, announces the appointment of Paige Humble as Executive Director effective February 16.

Ms. Humble comes to LCINC from her previous position as the Associate Director of Service Line Communications and Market Development at Duke Network Services where she served as Duke’s primary liaison for marketing and brand integration efforts with Duke Health’s affiliates and Duke LifePoint hospitals.

Ms. Humble has been involved with the organization, as LCINC’s presenting sponsor liaison with Duke Raleigh Hospital since the first 5K fundraiser in 2007. The Board of Directors is confident that Paige’s depth in hospital and healthcare experience will serve the organization well in achieving its vision to improve life for those affected by lung cancer in every county of the state.

“Paige has over 15 years of proven success in marketing and communications, which is a strategic growth area for the organization. She is well connected throughout the state, which will be important as we continue to expand our development and fundraising efforts,” says LCINC President, Amy Cipau. “We are thrilled to have Paige join our dynamic organization and to help us achieve our mission.”

Ms. Humble is a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. She has been active in the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and supports a number of non-profit organizations.  She is a graduate of Meredith College, with a Masters of Business Administration, and she received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“I am honored for the opportunity to work alongside such a passionate team at the Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina.  Having worked with the organization from the very beginning more than ten years ago, I am so excited for the many opportunities to further expand our impact in supporting those affected by lung cancer through continued collaboration with our partners across the state,” said Ms. Humble.
